I found out about a cool t-shirt website called Spreadshirt from one of @gandalfar's tweets.

Like several other t-shirt stores, in addition to the pre-designed shirts available you have the option of designing your own.  You can upload a design of your own or design a shirt using the existing designs and text or just change the colors on an existing shirt.

Unlike any other t-shirt store that I've seen, Spreadshirt lets you create your own store containing your designs.  They make and ship the shirt, collect the money from the customer etc. and you get a commision.

My store is here.  I've created one shirt so far:

test

I've wanted a lion rampant shirt for a long time and couldn't find one.  With Spreadshirt I was able to design the shirt I wanted and as a bonus I can make it available for other people to buy and make a little extra money.

Spreadshirt also gives you the ability to include your store in your website, but it uses iframes so I there are problems with cookies so I'm not using it.

Dexter - Do Not Cross tie

Dexter - Do Not Cross tie

I found a cool picture of Dexter wearing a police line Do Not Cross tie on IMDB.

I think it's great, but even if it existed and was for sale, I don't think I'd actually have the guts to wear it.

Panda Skull t-shirt

Panda Skull t-shirt

In this week's Stargate Atlantis, Col. Sheppard was wearing a cool shirt so I did a search and here it is. At $35 it's a bit expensive but it is very cool...

Uranium: 92 Protons of Boom

Uranium: 92 Protons of Boom

I love this t-shirt, I think it's really funny. Wouldn't want to wear it to the airport though...

Unfortunately woot seems to be out of stock right now.  The site says something about reprints but I don't really understand how it works.  We'll see.

I've been thinking of getting some Converse Allstars.  I like the way they look and I think they would be comfortable.  I'm not a basketball fan (or any sport) so that whole aspect is lost on me, but still...

Converse Allstar Red

Converse Allstar Red

The question is what colour to get - I really like the red ones, and they look great on Doctor Who, but I hate thinking about what clothes to wear and I'm sure they would clash with my typically blue wardrobe.  If I bought the red ones I would basically have to switch to only wearing shades of grey in order to maintain my one-colour-only rule. They're also quite attention grabbing, and I have no desire for attention to be paid to me.

Converse Allstar Black

Converse Allstar Black

I also like the classic black ones - they look great on Will Smith in I, Robot (one of my favourite movies) but once the tops are under by trousers what you'd mostly see is the laces...

Converse Allstar Completely Black

Converse Allstar Completely Black

Which leaves us with the completely black version.  This fits more in with my current style - completely black except for one colour, which is provided by my t-shirt.  So far all of the people I've asked for advice have liked this one the best.I guess my problem with these is that they don't look like Converse Allstarts anymore - they're just black shoes, same as the ones I'm wearing now...

Stuhrling Winchester

Stuhrling Winchester

I've been thinking of getting a new watch - my Timex Expedition Indiglo is great but I'm a bit bored of it.

The big point of choosing the Expedition was that the whole face of the watch is Indiglo, so the whole thing lights up when you push the button. Other watches I've had have only had tiny glow-in-the-dark dots, which I've always found useless. The other cool thing is that because the illumination is Indiglo it uses a very small amount of power, so although I've had it for ages the battery's still good. However, after owning the Expedition for years I've realized that I hardly ever need to know the time in the dark :)

So anyway I was browsing for a new watch when I came across the category of skeleton watches, which I'd never heard of before. And I love them! Basically they're clockwork watches with nothing between the hands and the clockwork so you can see all the little gears and things. Some of them even have glass backs so you can see all the way through the watch!

There are mechanical mechanism skeleton watches, but I don't want to have to remember to wind my watch every morning. There are also automatic mechanism models, which wind themselves using the energy from the movement of your arm, which makes it even more cool.

There are pocket and wrist skeleton watches but I don't think I could pull off a pocket watch, no matter much much I like them.

I haven't found a skeleton watch that's quite perfect - it has to be silver, but most of them are brass colored. It also has to have a metal watchband and most of them are leather. Finally, a lot of them have extra dials for day of the week etc. which gets in the way of the clockwork, messing up the whole skeleton feature. Also they start at $100 and get more expensive from there...

The one I like the best at the moment is the Stuhrling Original Men's Lifestyle 'Winchester' Skeleton Automatic Watch #165.331554, but the hands are blue, the watchband is leather and I don't like the numbers. On the up side it is automatic and you can see all the way through it...

Diesel - Whittier

I want em. But they're costly. Decisions, decisions...

They're shoes by the way, trainers. The old ones smell of chicken poo cos I went paintballing with Dave and Laura and about 20 of Dave's friends yesterday. And for whatever reason the mud isn't mud, it's chicken poo.
